NJIT 有提供以下幾個Volunteer的機會, 有興趣的就去參加看看吧！不只是對社會大眾有貢獻, 也可以增添你的Resume喔！

1.Branch Brook Park/Care of the Park
Friday, April 17 12noon – 2:30/3pm or
April 18, 9am – 12:00noon…
25 – 30 volunteers

2.Kearny Canstruction
We have are own CHARTER, “Kearny High School Canstruction” and we are in charge of spending all our monies on our pantries. They donate to six food pantries. We expect to receive in excess on $20,000.00 this year in donations from our generous local sponsors. Food is purchased with these funds as well as donated from organizations like WAWA, ShopRite, Stop&Shop, GOYA, etc. The Kearny High School engineering class designs 'sculptures' to be built from the cans and they build these sculptures over 4 days ending this year on April 14. This is the 4th year for the food drive.
The Kearny High food drive is an official partner with CANSTRUCTION.ORG. http://www.canstruction.org/about/
(1). April 11 - Saturday morning
- Build cardboard boxes for food delivery to the food pantries. We have hundreds of collapsed cardboard boxes that need to be reconstructed and taped to hold the food to be delivered.
- Younger kids can do this.
(2). April 17 and 18 - Friday and Saturday mornings
- Break down the design that was built with the cans, sort the cans to be distributed equitably between 6 pantries, load the cans into boxes.
- Additionally, depending on the food pantry, help is needed at some pantries to unload and stock shelves.
- We'll need older stronger kids for this.
3.Community Food Bank of NJ
I am reaching out to you regarding a volunteer opportunity in Pittstown, NJ during the week of April 13th from 9-11am helping our friends at America’s Grow a Row cut/prepare potatoes for planting. Once grown and harvested, these potatoes will be supplied to the FoodBank to distribute via our feeding programs.
Grow-A-Row is looking for 100 volunteers in total.
4.Rebuliding Together, Essex Co, NJ
On Saturday, April 18, 2015 we will again be providing critical home repairs to some homeowners in need. These repairs are done at no cost to the homeowners and their family. However this work cannot be done without your help. We need and value your spirit of volunteerism.
Rebuilding Together is committed to our mission of neighborhood stabilization and providing safe and healthy homes to families in our communities.
